Re: Mission | Remodel is an extension of Play It Forward program, designed for pediatric cancer patients between the ages of nine and 18 or those whose living situation prevents Roc Solid from being able to build a playset (i.e. they live in an apartment or condo).
This program is extremely flexible and tailored to each child’s needs. Whether they’re tasked with redecorating a bedroom or purchasing a new bike, Roc Solid will do everything it can to meet the wishes of each child.
Every kid's asked, "what do you want to be when you grow up?" Our When I Grow Up program lets children stricken with pediatric cancer fulfill those aspirations by pairing with a real life professional that shows them the ropes of their "dream job." From firefighters, to fashion designers; physical therapists to archeologists, we do all we can to inspire the courage to keep fighting. Because after all, growing up– means getting better.
Check out the video below too see a few of our kids ace the interview:

An Apple a Day was created based on the idea that the Internet is a teenager’s playground. Whether they use it to do research, study, keep loved ones up-to-date on treatment progress or simply pass time during hospital stays, An Apple a Day is a simple, yet meaningful and useful way to brighten a child’s day.

Roc Solid prides itself on informing young people on both the perils of pediatric cancer, and the importance of volunteerism. With our Roc Solid Speaks Out program, we visit local middle and high schools and educate them on the difficulties and courage of their diagnosed classmates living with the disease. We then put them to work, conducting a mini-Play It Forward build in the classroom with each of the students chipping in to help construct the "Roc Wall" of a future playset for one of our receipients.

Roc Solid’s goal is impact every child with cancer and to be there for him or her every step of the way, including the day when he/she finds out that they are finally cancer-free. When planning these celebrations, Roc Solid volunteers take each child’s wishes into account and do everything they can to make it a memorable, joyful day for them and their loved ones.
